SURVEY TRAINING

(ONLINE E TECHNICIAN SURVEY)

1. PURPOSE

Provide the student with guidelines and basic operational procedures necessary for an efficient and safe operation in offshore activities in the Survey area.

2. WHAT MAKES A SURVEY?

Online Survey is responsible for collecting data from various sensors, and monitoring the positioning system on board a vessel. He must guarantee the quality and accuracy of the data, as well as the calibration of the equipment.

The Technician Survey is responsible for installing, maintaining and locating faults displayed in computer systems during the survey and data acquisition.

3. TARGET AUDIENCE

People with minimum qualification in the technical area.

4. PREREQUISITES

I) Academic qualifications at a technical level or higher, recognized by the MEC:
   - Technician in Electronics, Cartography, Surveying or similar areas;
   - Degree in Engineering, Oceanography, Geology, or similar areas.
II) Good communication and organization skills;
III) Ability to work in a team and contribute in a team environment.

5. SYLLABUS

• Learn to understand and review project procedures;
• Inspect and configure lifting and positioning sensors;
• Configure the interface of all hardware, software and survey sensors, in accordance with the manufacturer's manuals;
• Operating instructions and guidelines;
• Technical procedures and technical notes;
• Gain working knowledge of acquisition and navigation software, specifically for interface testing and validation;
• Prepare, install and maintain the computer operating;
• Diagnose faults and correct;
• Perform the calibration of the positioning and lifting sensors;
• Check and prepare Survey sensors and transponders before starting an operation;
• Obtain a basic knowledge of practical marine and marine terminology;
• Submersion and recovery of research sensors.

6. DURATION

40 hours – Monday to Friday from 9 am to 6 pm with 1 hour for lunch.

Presential.
